How it works

Minimum group sizes: All shared groups have a minimum required group size. Unless the group gets to the minimum required group size the booking won’t happen and no one is charged. This is to make sure that people can join groups but never have to pay more than they are comfortable with.

Users profiles: All users have profiles that contain ability level, experience with professionals, an age bracket and nationality. You can also add a photo, languages spoken and a description of what type of skiing you like. The more complete your profile, the more likely you are to be accepted into a group.

Ability verification: Once someone has been to a Roped Up event the instructor or guide will be asked to verify that person’s ability level. Once verified a green tick will show next to their name on the site so you can trust people’s ability levels.

Messaging: There is an on-site messaging function in your personal dashboard so you can message people you might be skiing with.

Pricing: When making a shared booking we only charge you the school or guide’s normal rate plus our shared booking fee – €20 for a full day, €15 for a half day.
